Girl's Night at Colada Shop on 14th Street

1405 T STREET NW WASHINGTON , DC 20009
Between you and me, I am a total homebody during the week! Ah, I know. You, too? I just cannot help but want to be in leggings as soon as I walk through the door. Every once in awhile I do venture out and this week I got to meet up for a fun girl's night. When we were brainstorming places to go I shared Colada Shop and boom! The plans were set. It seems like everyone is attracted to the fun vibes of this place.

Press play below to hopefully be inspired to try some Cuban food and drink the next time you are on 14th street! Music is by the legendary Ibrahim Ferrer, and may be heard playing from my apartment any given time. There is something about Cuban music that just lifts the spirit.

The funny part about this is that my workday was kind of a mess! My hair was twirled into a bun and I wore my oversized sweater. It felt good to reset, throw on some fuchsia lipstick, and have a girl's night!

Outfit details: top by Clad & Cloth (very similar one), skirt by J.Crew (same style, in black, or try this!), clogs by Lotta from Stockholm.

This time I tried the Mary Pickford cocktail, a rum-based drink inspired by actress Mary Pickford after visiting Havana in the 1920s. It was delish and so refreshing!

The chicken empanadas were my favorite! And the guava pastelitos!

Above from left to right you see: @belubarriga, @acourageousbeauty, @vlaxerg, @scopestheblog, @jennythevoice, @kat_pierre, and @karenedwin.

This was the first night most of us had ever met! Blogger or not, if you would like to join in a fun girl's night, shoot me a message and I'll get you on the email chain for the next one: kristen@swannstreetstyle.com

  1. I love a fun girls night out! I am a total homebody during the week to but my boyfriend is always "go go go!" so it's exhausting haha.
I love your outfit here - the yellow skirt is perfectly on trend and extremely flattering on you!
